You don't need to put a fuse between the battery and MSD. It has it's own circuit protection.

burnoutrpm,

You do not need a fuse, the unit is internally fused. It does not hurt anything if you want to add one, this will protect the wire from melting if there is a short in the wire. The wires will be fine, this is not a problem that is a common occurrence. If you have them routed correctly and there is a problem we will take care of them.

Thanks,

Joe

man msd tech you f****** rule! i just got the box and 8.5 super condutor wires and cant wait to put them on tommorow!(i hope its been really cold!) anyhow you guys are very good to your customers! and sound like a stand-up company that backs up theyre products. .....

oh yeah when hooking up the 6al can iput it in the passenger conpartment somewhere? and run wires throught the firewall? it came with a firewall feedthrough rubber grommet>. and thought this would be right because it gets wet under my hood occasoinally and was worried about getting that 6al wet and making it short or that it'd draw to much moisture? man please help on locating the box about the wires.....will they clear the air cleaner on a drop base and a h.e.i.??any and all help is needed! as for hooking the wiring up.. man.. just cant belive how easy its going to be!!

as for the fuse q's ok so if it has its own internal fuse what if it gets a little wet or something will it kill the box and then reset itself later after its dry?? i hope thats a understandable q???? im just worried about hurting the 175$ box thats quite a chunk for a ignition module!!

mainly i dont undesrstand, how it doesnt need a fuse man i just cant get it(yes im dumb..please help!!) thanks!!!

After you remove the module, do you hook the wires from the MSD box to the connector where the module plugs into or do you hook them to the 2 wires that plug into the module that run to the bottom of the distributor?
