Aftermarket EGR valve?

I had my EGR off for a while (annoyed in the way, plus it started throwing the occasional code 32), but got sick of looking like a dip**** w/passengers when SES lit up on the highway, so I just put it back on. I figured that the earlier problem had been a completely severed vacuum hose (the one between the TBI unit and the EGR solenoid), which I fixed, but still Code 32.

So, I'm thinking about trying a new EGR valve, but I don't want to lay down the $$ for the GM part - does anyone make an aftermarket replacement?

Go to your local parts store, they should have one in stock and for less than a GM unit.I think I paid around $50 (still not that cheap) for the one I replaced on my '86 TPI T/A when I had the car,it was a GP Sorensen unit.

I would go with a AC-Delco EGR valve. They cost more, but last longer and of better quality. Just my opinion.......
