Does anyone have the flow numbers for these heads? Which one is better? Thanks.

Well, my AFR catalog flow numbers show that they out flow everyone. I have also heard the AFRs are better heads the the TF 23* ones, but the AFRs are more costly.

These are the flow numbers taken from the Sept. 2000 issue of GMHTP. I have seen better flow numbers for both heads from different sources.

.050 32.21 26.26
.100 65.84 57.03
.150 103.36 85.52
.200 137.56 116.92
.300 190.92 165.36
.400 230.88 190.80
.500 245.68 201.93
.550 245.68 203.52
TF 23*
Intake cfms Exhaust cfms
.050 33.22 24.27
.100 61.02 49.80

Would that mean the AFR's would work better with a single pattern cam? I was going to go with a 230/236 and .487/.490 extreme energy cam. I meant the 195's by the way but I'm sure the numbers wouldn't be that much greater than the 190's.

the Trick Flows need lots of exhuast help porting or huge split duration cam.

I would port the crap out of them as they don't flow to well and are pretty inexpensive

I think AFR recommends a dual pattern cam. Give them a call and see what they suggest.

As you can see both heads flow well out of the box. Both Good for over 400horsepower.
