The Monogram 1/24 Trans Am my late grandfather built for me when I was about 11 or 12-ish, right about the time my 1984 1/1 scale version was sitting brand new on a yard in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They share garage space now and I can't see me ever parting with my '84, been 6 years so far........

Took some pics of random stuff from my basement & garage.
The Hot Wheels Knight Rider in the case is a 1/64 diecast with a working front scanner light. It came with a USB cord to recharge the battery in the car to make it work. Pretty cool.

Yeah the blue/silver version is the original and the white/gold version is the alternate scheme that recently released.

Re: Thirdgen toys, models, etc.
Didnt see a new member intro thread, or one for showing off so ill make my first post here.
Got a new to me 86 Firebird T/A on August 4, and coincidentially snagged this guy at my work almost exactly a month later on September 4.
Probably not worth anything, but still cool.

Re: Thirdgen toys, models, etc.
After seeing the Firehawk Hauler in this thread I was on the hunt for one as we raced in the Firehawk Series in the 80's.
This was the first Firehawk car that I built back in 1987.

Re: Thirdgen toys, models, etc.
post the cars for sale here? maybe. just takes alot of time trying to figure out prices and all that nonsense. if your interested in some of the toys and stuff message me and we can figure something out. i dont come on here too much anymore now though.
sold the car to a buddy in tennessee. hes been enjoying it. probably better out there anyways since its not commifornia. they started doing random smog check points in my area recently and man if that car woulda got caught in one i woulda been screwed.

Re: Thirdgen toys, models, etc.
If you are talking about the diecast, not likely. That is the first '91-92 Firebird or Trans Am diecast that has been made to my knowledge. So if they made a Firehawk one, that's news to me.

Re: Thirdgen toys, models, etc.
Learning this the hard way. Currently slowing building the '91 GTA kit, trying to make it look like my '91 GTA. You can tell that the kit was largely a carry over from previous kits. It has V-belts, air intake isn't right, etc. From pictures of the Monogram kits (mine are still sealed and I want to keep it that way), those kits seem to be more detailed with the correct things. The strut towers, correct air intake, even the steering column has the turn signal stalk. Too bad the Monogram wasn't a 2-in-1 kit to make it a Firebird/Formula or a Trans Am/GTA like the AMT does.
I'm going slow and trying to make the details correct as much as possible. Once I'm done with this one, I'm going to try to make another one, but make it look like my '92 T/A convertible. That's going to be a challenge because I am going to have to cut the top and somehow make the rear tonneau cover area. Right now, I'm thinking that I can cut that portion off of a Corvette convertible kit. We'll see how that goes when I get to that point.
