What is the best Adjustable regulator i can buy? I was thinking the one from TPiS. Are they all just the same, or should i pay the premium for the TPiS one.

honestly i cant say.. i havent heard anything bad from any of them, and the design is so simple that i dont see any reason why it would be hard to create a good working one. i would say go with the cheapest. i just got the bbk one from summit cuz it was the cheapest summit had. now i wish i would've waited and seen thsi TPiS one on ebay.

I have used and seen a lot of them
I have the Holley reg.
The only reason I say that it is the best is because of it's massive thumb screw head to change Press. on the fly with no problem
It really is a big help Little more $$ but .. it was worth it to me
Hope that Helps

Thanks guys, but i think i am going with the TPiS one. I just placed a bid on ebay for it. I hope i get it.
Also, why the hell did my low end umpf go down when i installed my flomaster's? By the way, these things are not nearly as loud as i had hoped

Normally exhaust changes affect your torque curve most dramatically the closer to the engine they are, but the effect you got was somewhat predictable. Longer, smaller exhaust runs tend to increase bottom end torque, whereas shorter fatter ones tend to boost upper RPM torque (trading some in each case from the other end of the scale). Have you picked up anything on the top end? You may be able to get that bottom back if you put headers on 'er with long smaller diameter collectors. I'm curious about the 87 Buick GN that was listed with your "kills" and your losses??

Damn, why is everyone so amazed by my kills and losses?? Now i feel bad... my friend in the GN probably just is a bad driver. He beat me once and i beat him once. How bout the LS1 Vette??? That was pretty amazing i think. The girl whom i raced did have a **** load of spin for about 25 feet, but then again, so did i
Ok, now, as far as the headers go, i was going to put them on too with my exhaust, but i have weird looking 'stock' manifolds. They don't look like the normal ones, but more like Cast Iron Tubes or headers?? Is this normal?? I am assuming my car is stock, but i keep finding more surprises. When i first got the car, i raced it at the track and scored an impressive 15.80 @89. Then my experienced racer friend tried and nailed down a 13.9@101. Since then, i have learned to drive much better though.

Interesting about those manifolds. Do they have A.I.R. tubes? I'll have to defer to more experienced 3rd Gen folk on their origin. But 13.9 @ 101 definitely shouldn't be stock!

I ordered a JET AFPR from Summit awhile back, and I could not believe how much they charge for NOTHING. I paid $72 for a little aluminum cap with a screw in it! Well, I sent it back. I bought a stock one from Ebay for $25 and I'm going to make it adjustable myself and save almost $50. Noone will ever convince me it's worth it to buy one of these things.

I agree to an extent....
They are a great investment when you have some hefty mods
It works really well with my nitrous setup and if you've ever hooked it up to a computer/pocketprogramer you can see the efects that it has
They will not do a whole lot unless you have the high flow to back it up and the need for the extra Press.
I will agree that it really isn't the best way to spend your money unless you have some mods that need it's use
