High Intensity LED Halos for Thirdgens
Last year I purchased some "4x6 Halos" for my Camaro and posted some pics on here. Several liked them as did I, but recently I purchased some Halos for my 2012 Charger (hold back the stake burnings please) and they are extremely bright and multi-color wifi-controlled.
I was so impressed with them I contacted the company that made them. He said if I got at least 10 people interested he would make prototypes for our thirdgens and give a group discount. Now, before people do all of the "well depends on price etc" His normal price for 4 Halos + foglights and wifi (for charger) is around $350. While you may think that is too much, I personally think it is worth it versus the $150 I paid for my IROCs halos that are not wifi and only switch controlled. I am attaching images for comparison.
They are very bright and will cycle through colors or choose your color. So the question is, if we got him to make some similar to what I have now, maybe more like these (for the 5thgen camaros);
how many people can I get to commit?

They would probably be cheaper. It depends on what he has to use, it would also depend on whether you wanted 4 halos or 2 and fogs etc. His 5th gen Camaro kit with IR remote is a bit cheaper ($198) because it isn't 6 different lights.
The more interested the closer I can get to a price lock.

I'd be potentially interested.. I wouldn't need the fog lights.. just the top four.

Re: High Intensity LED Halos for Thirdgens
If you do a simple search on eBay for "4x6 Halos" You will find them. The only issue I have with them is that they go dim over time. I have had mine about a year now and they are way dimmer than they were when I got them, but they are 10% of the brightness of the new lights now and were about 30% when they were new.
They only reason I noticed them going dim is by looking at previous pictures.

I would be interested, but skeptical on how much the stock harness would have to be modified.

I agree on just the four headlights. Not the fog lights

Re: High Intensity LED Halos for Thirdgens
Srklegin, the halos are on a separate connection. You would have to wire them up. It isn't just plug and play. The wifi 'router' has to be installed somewhere. Also the wires have a small metal transformer box on each led set ( so 4 lights would have 4 metal boxes) these are outside the headlights in case they burn out so replacing doesn't require redoing the entire installation. These boxes are about the size of a pack of gum each. It is suggested these boxes are installed inside the car so they don't get too hot near the engine. I personally placed them way in the corner near the passenger headlight away from engine heat and possible water splash and they have worked fine for about a month now.
If you are referring to HID headlights as well, I am sure we can talk to him about that. I have HID's on my IROC now and it did require an HID wiring kit, but it did not require altering the wiring harness. You just plugged it into one of the existing headlight plugs. Basically all the kit does is give you ceramic plugs instead of plastic. Without them HID headlights will melt your stock plugs.
This post was referring to high intensity leds for halos. I will get more info as we have about 6 people interested.

Dang if I hadn't purchased the same ones you have now but in blue I would be interested right away. Having just purchased the stuff to redo my interior, my wife would kill me right now. I would be interested in the future for sure.

Re: High Intensity LED Halos for Thirdgens
Any progress on these? Though, being a Firebird I'd only need 2 headlight/ 2 fog. Wondering if headlight would be needed, since with parking lights only (when I see most of these 'on' mostly) the lights are down, you'd never really see them.
