Big Mouth

Has anyone ever had problems trying to adjust Timing with the Big Mouth Manifold as far as clearance?

Car: '89 Formula
Engine: 355 TPI
Transmission: T56
Axle/Gears: 3.70 9 bolt.
I got an edelbrock which is what the big mouth starts off as before they port the heck out of it.
Problem I had was with the position of the distributor. There is a high pad on the driver's side of the manifold which interferes with the bottom of the screw for the distributor cap.
My solution was to re-install the distributor so that the electrical connectors
were pointing straight towards the back of the car. That way I had more room to move the distributor around. Previously the connectors were pointing toward the master cylinder.

No probs with mine. And mine electrical connections pointed towards the firewall to begin with.
