are FM boosters for the radio any good?

i cant always get stations in clear from other cities. think an FM booster would solve this problem? i think i have the kenwood just below the excelon.

I've tried one a while back....didn't like it though. Seems like it amplified the noise as much as it did the signal. But I bought a cheap one....check out Radio Shack...this way if you don't like it you can return it.

ive got one, it work good on highways where there little inteferance, but in the city it picks up too much static, i only turn mine on when i go on a road trip.
