If anyone knows where I can get or if anyone can help me out with the switch? I need a new one my firebird is my life haha so if people can help out with the switch it would be well appreciated.

do you know if its the same as a 89 camaro switch? I have a used one..It did work but i eliminated that system a few years back and put a different switch in that hole on my car.

Yeah, the window switches will swap over, but the hatch switch in the Trans Am's are on the dash. Merry Christmas to you too.

that should be different too unless his dash was swapped for an 85+. yours is about 1 square inch gray face, his is smaller and black. if it was easier to upload pics for me id take a pic of my 83s to help out. good luck. seems like 9 out of 10 camaros had hatch poppers, while 1 out of 10 firebirds had them. no proof of those numbers but anyones that tried to find one probably feels the same way lol.

Did you find one yet? I have one, its not pretty but it worked when removed.

If you still need it, I found both it and the defrost switch exactly like the pic shows in a 83 TA, real clean shape. LMK if you want any more info or pics

Bud, I'm always for a fellow Firebird owner but I want it. lol like you can have the defrost switch if youd like? I have a brand new stock one. But hey how do u post a new forum?

Special - to start a new thread go to the message boards, click on a forum such as Aftermarket Product Review, click on the Forum Tools drop down in the blue header and click Start New Thread.

As far as availability of defrost and hatch switches, I threw my hat in the ring back in January for these pieces. If I am next in line based on that date I hope they are available to me.

Maybe I am getting confused. Special - you have a new defrost switch? But you want a hatch switch? Who has the hatch switch?

I have this switch, Its currently in my dash though (I dont have a power release so its useless to me) , I'd sell it for $25 shipped plus a replacement dash trim piece to replace mine since there will bea a empty hole
