Clear Rear Side Markers - Klearz !!!
Many of us been hoping to get some clear rear marker lights for our Firebirds (82-92) and I worked with Jason @ Klearz.com on this one and I'm happy to say he got them done and they look great (still waiting for my sets but thought I post this based on the photos he sent me already).
These are just the lenses so you will need to remove the red OEM lenses from and clean up the area where they been glued to the rear housing then glue the new lenses onto the housings and re-install on your bird.
Jason can do clear or smoked or pretty much any color you like I guess so get in touch with him directly (www.klearz.com) and he will help you out.
I got a white car so went with the clear lenses and will most likely paint the housings (inside) either silver or chrome to match the front clear side indicators/markers I have. Will post pictures of this when I got it all installed.

They look good. I just ordered some custom ones that aren't reflective. Wish I had waited. Lets see some pictures!

So got the lenses today and they look great, exact reproductions of the OEM red lenses (minus the DOT marking on them) ....
You will need to remove (carefully) the red lenses from your original housing (I got a nice used replacement sets to do this) and clean up the area where the lens will sit as you will use the housing. Then glue the new lens in place (OEM lens is just glued in a couple of places);remember these are left and right hand pieces.
The gasket either you reuse them or (and this is the good news) you get some aftermarket ones (this is what I used) from these guys http://stores.ebay.com/Detroit-Muscl..._sid=164282685 they are as far as I can tell identical using the same foam seal material as the OEMs.
I took some photos with and with out my red led bulbs turned on (led's arent as bright as normal bulbs so will try different options here) and it was not dark ourside yet.
Also the housing originaly have a yellowish/beige color on the inside ... I tried spraying them wiht silver paint on the inside but will most likely get some chrome spray paint to do them as this is what the ebay clear front indicators/marker lights have ....
Anyway here's a few photos for you all

Definitely, besides the DOT marking on the originals these are identical. Bit of work to remove the housing from the original lenses etc but very straight forward an maybe 1 hours work or so to get both sides installed and sorted.
Get your order in; you wont be disappointed.

Re: Clear Rear Side Markers - Klearz !!!
The rear side markers are from Clearz ... the front fender markers are ebay ... the front turn/parking lights I made myself cutting out the amber lens and glued a clear lens in its place (only due to requriements in this country on colors you run upfront).
Overall looks very good.
Get your orders into Klerz on the rear marker lenses .... need to keep him going as next II've asked to get him to do the 3rd brake light lens as well (Firebird rear spoiler 87-90 or so).

This is a pretty sweet thing. I kjnow for a fact 3rd gen owners in England would look very favorably on a mod like this since they are all required to have clear side markers though many do their best to ignore that rule. (only important since I am moving to England this Winter lol).
