Edelbrock Strut Tower Brace?
The Edelbrock website states that their Strut Tower Brace for TPI cars (Part #: 5226) will not fit the 1987-1992 Formula. Does anyone know why? Better yet ..... has anyone tried it?
Here is the link to which I am referring:
http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_.../5000/5226.pdf
I do not see why a Formula hood would sit any lower than a regular Firebird hood. Actually, I would think that because of the cowl induction bulge, it would sit higher.
I personally know of a Formula with TBI that is using their brace (Part #: 5227) without any problems.
If all else fails, is there anyone else that make a 3-point STB that will fit a Formula with TPI?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
