to anyone with shorty headers on their camaro...??

If I buy Hedman shorty headers can I just bolt them on?

Or do I need to make modifications like the Y pipe etc?

Just looking for a simple yes/no answer (and if yes what mods are needed would be good to know)

Thanks )

gettin hedman also. from what i've read the y pipe by hedman is made for 81-91. from what i've read the pipe doesn't fit on 1992. i have same car as you. so instead i will be spending more for the y pipe than the headers, but should have good end results. cheers!

Are you looking at the smog legal Hedmans?

I have the air pipe deleted Jet Hot coated Hedmans and y pipe on my IROC. Had to install an 02 bung myself.

if you're going to spend the money look into the hooker 2055's. 50 state legal, with a THREE inch factory routed y-pipe. yes its gonna cost a tad more money than the hedmans, but its so worth it. I love mine.

Also recently installed a pair on a buddy's 85 LG4. added a hooker catback at the same time. talk about a huge difference. night and day. easily 50 shp.

I would love to but I just spent $1000 and about another $1000 worth of my own labor labor on my car in the past 2 weeks, so as the shorty's aren't a nice "easy" bolt on I am gonna pass for now, they'd be nice but I just can't spare the $$ right now...

Maybe in a few months....
