The only ratchet shifter I know of for the 82-92 Camaro's is the B&M Mega Shifter. I love mine. The shifts act like a ratcheting action. Put it in 1st..push it (ratchet) into 2nd...and so on. Also..from Drive...down to 1st It also locks it out from going into reverse. But to warn you....it's a VERY firm shifter.....I think it would suck on a daily driver.

The installation is a PITA. It's made cheaply....and you have to cut your factory wiring....

Re: B&M SHIFTER

i use mine in my daily driver and love it. been using it for upwards of close to 4 years now. i have mine hooked up without the relay.

as stated above, it is a firm shifter. it loosens a little with time. once you get used to it, it's not a big deal.

Re: B&M SHIFTER

You'll get used to it and learn to love it after awhile, but it'll prolly give you issues the whole way through installation
