Has anybody tried Jegster subframe connectors?

If you get bolt in sfc's then do you have to drill holes, or can you use existing holes?

never used the bolt ins. i'd go for the weld in SFC's. that seems to be what most people on here have in their cars.

If you drive you car hard enough to merit the need for subframe connectors, even if it's not driven hard on a daily basis, the stress transferred through the connectors is still going to wallow out the bolt holes and cause problems down the road. Weld in subframe connectors such as mine from Global West, are designed to have as large a foot print as possible where they are welded to transfer this stress over a larger, stronger area. Also they work great as a jacking point in a pinch. :0)

I'm not going to weld those things onto my car. I just want bolt ins. It's not going to be driven all the much on a regular basis, well probably not.

I think you have to drill holes. There aren't many good places with existing holes under the car for SFCs to bolt to.

I know my "bolt-on" driveshaft loop requires holes to be drilled, so don't let the word fool you.

Keith5, I have to agree with the others about welding your SFCs. Bolting them will require drilling holes in the sub frames. As you drive the car the body will still try to twist and the bolts will loosen and oblong the holes in the sub frame. Then it will be even harder to keep the connectors doing their job if the holes are not perfect or become slotted.

For your other question I have not tried Jegs connectors. I used Alston connectors on both of my cars. I also believe SSM makes a very good set unless you have a convertible.

Yes, I have had my Jegs connectors for over 5 years. You do have to drill holes in the floor pan, at the front, and two holes at the rear lower control arm bracket. I do'nt know what some of you people are doing to your cars, that makes the bolt holes elongate and the bolts loosen; but I have not had one bit of a problem with my heavily modified, supercharged 350, '88 IROC. Oh, and by the way I have T-tops.

The best that I can remember is, the front three are 1/2 inch and the rear one is 3/8. Just call JEGS, they'll tell you for sure.
