Who sells an adapter to mate a sb400 with a 700R4. Pic and price would be a bonus.

No adapter is needed, it'll bolt right up.

You can use any small block you want with your 700R4.

The 700R4 that is behind a V6 will not bolt up to a V8.

The smallblock Chevy family platform is the most versitile starting point for any hotrod or engine swap because almost everything mates. The Chevy v6 and v8 both share the same bell-housing bolt patterns. The problem that you may be having is that the tranny might be backing a buick v6. If that is the case, Performance Automotive Warehouse in Sun Valley California has the adapter. I think it's $50. I had the same problem.
