So if all it does it make it nice and shiney why not rip down to the hardware store and pick up a few cans of clear coat for 1/4 the price?

It doesnt make it shiny. It causes the #s on your plate to distort or blurr. It s clear so the law cant tell youve done anything to your lic plate.Since putting a lense(that does basically the same thing) over your lic is not allowed.

For some reason I doubt it's a great idea. What if the sunlight hit it the wrong way when there was a cop behind you?

I'd be more interested in this, myself. Radar Busters; photo radar and red light camera protection</TITLE>

Blame it on his bad eyesight, sun glare ?.Really though there is nothing he can do about it.This product is perfectly legal. So get it now before they do ban it.

As for covers, most states and provinces have laws prohibiting anything covering the plate and you get a ticket for that.

Actually if you think about it, if you go fast enough wont you be out of the cameras view before it takes the picture?

Actually, yeah

I cant remember what show did it, but you CAN actually go fast enough to not get your picture taken. The downside you ask? It has to be over 170mph!!!!

It only takes your pic if you run the yellow or red.

Yeah, Me and a buddy tried this once, the newspaper stated that if you went over 105 mph or so, the pic would only get a view of your roof. So we tried about 110-115 mph through this automatic toll both thing, and never recieved a ticket. Not that I would reccomend it though, that was scary fast through those narrow gates, and if it werent for the fact it was a road race prepped car, it couldn't have been done.

On the other hand, the photoblocker do work, even the cops admit to that. But at the same time they also state that it's not legal. But the thing is, you can't really tell it's there, unless the cops are going to start photographing every plate they see to tell if it has photoblocker or not. Hardly lightly at all.

It was also tested by teknikens verld (Technical world) in sweden by the government tv, and yep, it works. The overexpose is just how it works, it reflext too much light, so the cameras in the speedbox'es can't get a decent pic.
