Hey guys, I saw an ad in the buy & sell for a Gale Banks turbo kit that is for a third gen. For $2500CDN, it comes with the turbo, and intercooler.

Now, I do remember reading a post regarding turbos a couple of days ago that there was a turbo system made for the early 80's F-bods, and I realize that Gale Banks does make a turbo for our cars. But I haven't been able to find anything else about turbos and 3rd gens regarding performance, reliability, driveability, etc..

So what do you guys think? Yea or Nay? I prefer a supercharger (no lag), but for $2500CDN... this turbo kit sounds tempting.

I've wanted that gale banks twin turbo kit ever since I saw a picture of it. I would buy one ina second.. but they don't make them anymore.. hard to find.

If you can get one... DO IT

where exactly did you see this add?

i saw this site where this guy built a custom twin turbo setup for a 305tpi.the car was slower after the turbos were put on.
probobly didn't tune it right though.
for that much you could get an intercooled procharger also.
which do you think is better?
