Wondering about ministarters
I've been looking around different places that sell a variety of ministarters. Most new ones are expensive, although I've seen ones on ebay "new" go for fairly cheap. I'm wondering what kinds of ministarters will clear hedman long tube headers on a third gen. Normally I'd use the search function, but it does not seem to be visible?
I remember reading in the past about summit ministarters usually being a 100% fit. What other manufacturers are there that would fit?
btw if this is in the wrong forum, I apologize, I figure a review forum would be the best place to find out what brand seems to be the best fit.

I'm running a run-of-the-mill mini starter. Was like $120 from Herbert. Fits by my headman LT's nicely. It's one of the most common available. Great starter.
- In the drag cars we have seen issues with the solenoid not disengaging, thus burning up the starter(you don't hear it over a 3000hp blower motor. So, we run an external solenoid and simply put a jumper from the main power(now from remote solenoid) to the factory instage post. That way it doesn't even have power after you let go of the button/key.

I have a tilton super starter II ministarter and the nose of it still hit my hooker longtubes. I've talked to other people who've said their tilton starter clears hooker longtubes with no problems. Maybe I got a set of headers made on a Friday afternoon. I just realized this post probably won't help you one bit.
