Accel Module

My 91 Vette has a large cap distributer and it uses the 4 pin module in it. When mine bit the dust, I went to Advance Auto and the replacement part (made in china) was about $16. I decided that I wanted a higher quality part, so I went to other parts stores. Where I wound up had a Borg Warner unit for $55. I opened it up and it was the exact same made-in-china piece as the Advance Auto piece. It even had the same code stamped on the underside.
This doesn't mean much for those who are seeking an aftermarket upgrade piece, but if you're hitting up the parts stores, don't assume that you're getting a better piece by paying 3x as much.

I put dyna-mod modules on my 85 and 90 Vette from Performance Distributors - High Performance and Racing Ignition Systems along with their coil, cap and rotor, and felt an immediate difference. They do carry the 8 pin modules for $59.95. That might be the route I go.

Re: Accel Module
I know a few guys with the DUI ignition stuff.IMO you cant go wrong with them. That is Davis Unified Electronics.Ive had too many problems with accel stuff and had 2 msd remote mount coils take a dump on me(8226)Msd would not fix or replace them after i paid money to have them fixed.Sent back with a sticker saying unrepairable.Thats bs,they just quite.Stock stuff has never let me down but I know i will need more when my new ported intake goes on.
