Hot Rod's: GTA,Firebird, and GTO book. w/in
Pretty good book. Here is some info from it.
91 Trans Am GTA conv 5.0L 5speed 0-60=7.36 1/4mile=15.37@89mph
91 Trans Am GTA 5.7 liter automatic 0-60=6.45 1/4mile=14.51@94.76mph
91 firebird formula 5.7 liter automatic 0-60=6.36 1/4mile=14.45@94.72mph
91 firebird formula 1LE 5.0liter 5speed 0-60=6.53 1/4mile=14.55@92.95mph
91 Trans Am GTA/SLP 5.7liter auto 0-60=5.93 1/4mile=14.08@98.18mph
All the automatics had 3:23 rears and all the 5speeds had 3:42s. The GTA/SLP had SLP cold air, SLP runners,SLP headers, SLP catback, and an SLP custom chip.
Weight of the vehicles go as followed.
91 GTA conv= 3496lbs
91 GTA=3456 lbs
91 1LE=3386 lbs
91 Formula=3370 lbs
91 GTA/SLP=3486 lbs
they have a lot of tests on GTAs, even a test on a 87 GTA vs a 87 300zx turbo. GTA murders it.

I saw a similar test in 1991 of 5 Firebirds. I think it was Motor Trend (but I am not certain)...but I will have to try and dig up that magazine out of storage (on the West Coast).
Those times look VERY similar to the tests I saw.

I think this article was taken from an issue of HOT ROD/Car Craft. The whole book is pretty interesting. There are shoot offs between big block firebirds vs 350 GTAs.
Tons of them. You especially should buy It Glenn, a LOT of 91 GTAs in there.
