These arent the best pics, but i took these in the garage just after I installed them(No eng running just on the battery).Test drove afterwards though.HUGE difference WAY wider & longer, brighter beam. They even out shine my silverstars i had before.Best part i paid $170(used from ebay).

I was actually a distributor for Sylvania Xenarcs and they were discontinued last fall. The USDOT came out with a ruling that only "OEM non-filament headlight" vehicles (cars with factory HIDS) could legally use them, which killed the conversion market. I sold a large number of sets of these and received numerous complaints about beam radius and focus. I had them on my personal car and removed them. They were bright as hell and looked unique but the light pattern was flat, too wide, and short range. The 4x6 lenses in our cars are really bad for lighting focus and range no matter what kind of lamp is used.
I am currently working with Cibie on a CRS based system that has much better light distribution. I'll post info in them later this fall.

how long until the new ultra bright white LED headlights come out. I was reading about them in popular mechanics last year.

They won't be out for awhile, yet. Just as with HID's you'll see them appear on upscale OEM applications first then they will trickle down to the aftermarket.
