Adjustable Torque Arm
I'm trying to find a good torque arm for my car and was thinking about the Random Technology torque arm since it will fit my set up ( T56 with SPD crossmember and Lakewood safety loop)does anyone have bad or good things to say about it????????

Don't waste your money on the Random Tech torque arm. It is way overpriced. You can get a T56 retrofit crossmember with integral adjustable torque arm for less than $400 from Steve Spohn. This also includes a driveshaft safety loop built into the crossmember. www.spohn.net It is a superior design and costs less than the Random Tech unit.

The problem is that I found out about Steve Spohn, after I installed the Lakewood safety loop and bought the SPD crossmember . So I need something that will fit with those parts and random torque arm is the only one I found so far.

Steve is right, go with the Spohn torque arm, take a loss on the parts you already have. I just installed the retrofit from Spohn, I am very pleased with the whole setup.

There's something to be said about customer loyalty....
Hey, why not see about putting those parts up for sale on the classifieds section of thirdgen as well as camaroZ28.com?? i've had GREAT luck in buying and selling off the boards. In fact, most everything listed below has been purchased either from the boards or mail order through companies who advertise on these boards.
Steve's been very responsive to customer feedback, and that's why he's now getting buried in business. I have all of his stuff on my car and it works well.
If you want to keep what you have, you'll have to choose either the Granatelli piece, the Random Technology piece, and I think there's one from Global West as well as BMR. I suspect that you'll find a Hotchkiss and an Edelbrock piece as well. There's one called the Tracklink out there, too. I forget who is making it: Global west? All of these pieces cost more than Steve's setup, I think.

If you want to see my install notes for the Spohn stuff, check out: Dan's Torque Arm installation notes
There's some good pictures of the actual hardware. This was an early design and Steve has taken our feedback and updated his designs to make them better.

You can get it without the loop, just specify that when you order.
