PermaStar Coating?
Edelbrock is coating intakes with this process (I think it is from Goodrich) and claims it lasts longer than chrome or polishing. Anybody familiar with this?

i have some insight on it....what would you like to know?
is it durable? seems to be as it's process is very similar to powdercoating yet slightly more complicated and extremely expensive over contemporary powdercoating ethics.
does it oxidize? don't know, don't have it on any of the products to test yet it claims that it won't. since it isn't an open element like polished products or basic metal it should be relatively good in that area.
is it shiney like chrome? every bit as so.......unbelievable when done right how well it looks like chrome.
it's still a relatively new process. back when i purchased my boze wheels i was given the option and i had never heard of it. it wasn't even really on the market then and without seeing it in person i was skeptical. i was able to see an edelbrock piece that was done several months ago and it was amazing.
one day when i get the time i plan to send my wheels back to have them coated. if i can ever find someone who does parts like that i will do that as well. very nice looking!
