I assupe you mean the platinum slug fell off? see you heard me earlier giving negative feedback on the spilitfires but here I must mention that any plug maker's platinum insert can fall off inside the engine this is not a new phenominon to me. Keep this in mind when buying any plug.

Thanks all the same tata84, "butt" you can stick to using that if that's what works best for you, lol. So I guess that smell coming from your exhaust ISN'T the cat, huh?
But I agree with you about the platinums Tom. That design doesn't look safe to me. That's why I haven't tried them and won't try them. I only like and defend the copper Splitfires.
Even the Delco platinum looks like it has that little "add-on" pad too.

If I remember correctly, splitfire was sued (and lost) for false advertising.

You remember correctly. Mr.Dude supplied a link above to an article about it.
It was some pretty funny reading. It was basically a frivolous suit just to damage Splitfire's name. The winners were the attorneys, not the individuals who brought up the case, as all the money to settle was for court and attorney's fee. The individual plantiff's settlement was for free and discounted Splitfires, lol. So I guess they coudn't have been too upset since they agreed to that.
