you might save some money in the hood, but the body shop will be charging you even more in labor to get it to look good. UP22 has the worst quality I've ever seen. Hence their cheap price.

Do you know of any other companies in socal that make fiberglass hoods?

I really want one but I don't want to have to pay all that extra money for shipping. So if there is a socal company that makes fiberglass hoods I can just go pick it up.

Chaulk up another bad experience with Unlimited Products.

Several years ago I put a cowl on my Camaro. Same thing as HeavyChevy.... looked great. Couldn't see edges or anything. After awhile it was like the fiberglass expanded after the paint went on. You can see all the fibers.. and all the "holes" where the rivets went. All the edges.

The cowl I used was just the cowl.. and we put it on a junkyard hood.. so I can't comment on the fitment of the hoods. I also heard you're supposed to let the fiberglass set in the sun for a bit before using it. Their site doesn't say anything about that though. *shrug*
