Brodix Race Rite 200cc Heads
After much research and debate, I settled on the Brodix RR200 heads for my 406 project. My goal was to build a motor that focused on mid range power. The Brodix head fit the bill with it's 68cc cnc'd combustion chamber, 2.05" intake valve, 200cc intake runner and ported as cast technology. The motor is complete, installed and approximately 100 miles on the motor.
So far, I am very pleased with the overall quality of the heads. I had them flowed to compare Brodix numbers. The Brodix intake came out nearly identical to mine, the exhaust flowed much higher than Brodix states. Apparently Brodix flows without pipe, we flowed with a 13/4" pipe.
Overall driving impression is very impressive. The throttle response is right there and the motor pulls strong well beyond 6400 rpm.
