Car: 1987 transam
Engine: 383 /w superram
Transmission: 700r4 /w 2800rpm stall
Pro topline torker heads vs Edelbrock elite valve covers
the tall edelbrock elite valve covers don't just bolt on. the heads are wider then the lips on the vavle covers allow i had to machine the lips off the vavle covers to get them to "bolt on"

Welcome to the world of aftermarket. I just did a crazy mad buildup on my car, I took the old cutoff wheel or die grinder to most of my parts. It really sucks to shuck out good cash and then be forced add the last step of labor to get things right.
I guess we could take up golf as our hobby and stop our biitching, but that would be no fun!

you know what's funny i have a set of $30 el cheapo valve covers that fit perfect but the nearly $100 valve covers require some love to get them to fit.. :lala:
