Sonix and cheater torques.....

Car: 1987 IROC
Engine: Vortec 350 TPI
Transmission: 7004r
Sonix and cheater torques.....
I did a search for both of these and found nothing, perhaps some of you have heard of it ( I doubt it) but it should give you a laugh at least.
A local trans shop offered to put in a 'sonix kit' into my transmission. It gets rid of my lockup completely which saves weight and he claims there is only a 200 rpm difference, this kit utilizes what he calls a 'cheater torque' torque converter, since lockup is removed.. He went on to say he will install corvette pistons in it as well... I'm assuming all 8 :sillylol: Despite my laughing in his face, he insisted this was a proven setup.
From what I can see however, he is the only one who knows about this high tech trans setup
