best tires!!!!
hey i got 16x8 irocs. i would either like 255/50/16's or 245/50/16's. i know BFG g-forces are the best but I'm on a budget. i have 2 tires left to deide on. The Yokohama somethings (lol) in 245/50/16 or the KUhmo Ecsta Supra 255/50/16. The yokos are 10 bux more but are rate a lil higher than the kuhmos. what do ya think???

Rated a little higher in what? BFs arent necessarily the best tire, it all depends on what you want to do with them. Keep in mind that the 255s are wider with a bit taller sidewall, so given both tires have a fairly soft tread, they will probably get better traction at the strip. If you want something to corner better, either will work, but keep in mind a smaller sidewall (245s) will flex less. I was interested in cornering, so I bought 255/40/17 Falken FK451s, and they ROCK through corners. How much are you planning on spending?

I've run 245/50/16 yoko's and hated them. They never hooked. Not in a straight line, not in corners. I'm now on Kumho Supra ecsta's(255/50/16) and love them. Great tire for the money.

I run the Kuhmos as well, and I love them. However, if you live in a cold environment, I don't suggest them. They are made of such a hard compound, that when it gets around freezing, you might as well be on roller skates. And in ice, they're an absolute death trap. But if that doesn't bother, I can't think of a better tire for the money.

My friend likes his Kumho ecsta 711's, they're the cheapest 245/50-16 you can get. If you want a 255, there's the Ecsta Supra 712, I've never heard anyone complain about them yet...
I myself have the Eagle GSC take offs from SLP, they've been good to me so far...
