Cervinis ram air hood

Anyone made this hood functional? If so could someone post a pic of the air box setup they came up with?

I have the ram air hood from Cervinis. The holes in it though are not big enough to do much more than draft some of the fumes/heat from the engine compartment. After thinking about using it for some type of air induction I came to the conclusion that the time spent in making something functional would not be worth the gains, if any.

BUT, if you are creative, you can start fiberglassing your hood and tell us how it works.

Here is my hood just newly painted. Note the small "vents".

I have to agree, the hood vents are too small for any kind of ram air effect. I also have this hood. If you did want to make an air box that sealed up against the hood, it would be alout easier with a carb or tbi, tpi motors would be tough to do. I was planning on rigging something up but wound up giving up, it cluddered the engine bay way to mush for almost zero gain, maybe snappier throttle respons at 60 mph!

Not functional with an air box but on a nice summer niht I do notice a difference in the way my car runs with the air coming in the hood to my carb.

thats a sweet hood, i think it looks good on 91-92 camaro with the ground effects that have the air ducts in them.

Just a note, these hoods can't be made to effectively set up a ram-air system; the inlets are too far back on the hood. The majority of the air you need ends up flowing above those inlets, unless you're going really f'n fast.
