I use mobil 1 ATF, I did use the synthetic B&M Crap, but it made my tranny run hot. I have a trans temp guage, here is the average temps for the trans fluid I have used. These average temps take into account my city and highway driving and not strip use, I have only ran my car on the strip twice and didn't notice any difference in temps. These temps are based on a 80 degree day here in Hawaii in moderate traffic.

B&M trick shift and B&M synthetic: 200-215 degrees
Mobil 1: 175-190 degrees
Amsoil: 175-190 degrees

I only use Mobil 1 now because of the low availability of Amsoil here. My trans shifted the best and ran cool with the Amsoil.

I believe B&M makes some good stuff but there trans fluid did nothing special in my trans but make it hotter.

Everybody has their own opinion of what is best and I am not supporting any one product, but I did find that the Amsoil trans fluid worked the best for my application, that being a stock 4L60 (700R4) with the Mobil 1 ATF a very close second.

I used B&M and it burned up my trans prematurely. It is CRAP.

The guy who rebuilt my trans (FLP in Naperville,IL) said use regular Dexron III/IV made by a name brand manufacturer. I use Valvoline in mine.

According to him, synthetics are ok, but not worth the extra money if you run a good trans cooler.

According the RB83L69, B&M trick shift is just Type F fluid which has more friction modifiers than a Dexron III fluid and I've heard it will eat up the TH700-R4. Apparently the trick shift works quite well in TH350/TH400. I've never tried it in one of those trannies myself.

The B&M stuff ate up my tranny in 3 days after the engine was put back in. Go figure. Anyhow, with the new tranny I plan to run a cooler and a guage (still dont know which one, I want a digi on the door pillar though) and Valvoline ATF. I never trusted synthetic oils, they tend not to blend well with petrolium oils (not as well as petrolium blends with itself anyhow) but its fime in your engine if you ran it from day one or put it in after draining and throughly cleaning the block.

I would stick to the Dex III/IV in the 700R4 anyhow. Valvoline works just fine for me.
