Dynomax Welded race muffler VS Flowmaster 40
ok guys, I can't decide which ones to run on my 69 BB. If any of you have experience with any of those 2, in a true dual configuration, let me know. I'm wondering more about the sound difference between the 2. The exaust will be dual 3" and turn downs.

the 40s sound good, my friend has them on a 72 Chevelle with a ZZ4 crate. They sound great with headers and a 2.5 inch pipe, and they can only sound better with a BBC and 3 inch pipe .

Also, I had them on my 87 Monte, stock, with 2.5 inch pipe in a one pipe into 2 muffler config. All my friends said it sounded good too.
(BTW im a big exhaust sound freak )

Are you talking the Dynomax "bullet" mufflers? I wouldn't run them on a street car myself. I have dual 4" exhaust on my 86 Z-28 and I used the 4" bullets because of limited ground clearance (obviously).
The car does not sound any different then when I had open headers.
