arao 32 valve heads
Has anybody here used or know of anyone that has used these heads?
I was looking at the info and flow #s on their site and put those #'s into my desktop dyno to see the results.
I know desktop dyno is not 100% accurate but the results show the arao heads make approx 200 extra horsepower vs. AFR 190 on a 406 sbc.
Any thoughts on these heads?

I'm gonna start playing the lotto.
I'd have to say those prices seem fair for the potential those heads seem to offer.

If you want four valves per cylider, why not go with a Northstar DOHC buildup? I just say a tuner on Hot Rod TV (or one of those shows) who specializes in Northstar crate motors for rear driven hot rods. He's made some WILD blown and injected examples.

no cams for those northstar engines that I've heard of and I doubt they flow anywhere near those Arao's. No one has seen these run?

Here is the site of Cadillac HotRod Fabricators, these are the guys I was talking about. http://www.chrfab.com/index.htm "Here's our dual turbo engine that put out almost 800 HP. This engine is approximately $19K and $35K for 1200 HP, you guessed it, lots of internal mods." "A Weiand supercharger on our manifold puts out 600 HP with very conservitive boost of 9 psi and 525 HP at 5.5 psi. These engines with rods, pistons, rotating assembly balance, head work, cams, springs, retainers, head studs, etc. runs approximately $18K" I know they're a little pricey, but:

I would like to know where there are other "independent" testing on these heads (I read the mag. article).
I don't think they are "WAY" overpriced. To get similar flow numbers other heads cost ~$2500+ usually with much larger intake runners, plus a new intake and sometimes valvetrain. Maybe $4000 and up would be a better price, but I doubt they make too many sets of these. I already picked up a D-1SC, so they're not for me, but...
If these heads really give you performance of quality heads plus boost, then they aren't all that bad for pricing. Especially with the "hemi" wow factor.
"Their" dyno shows ~650 hp with 10.5 comp. and a 226 @.50 cam!!! That's impressive to me.

I know these heads are expensive but for what they promise they dont seem that bad.
Just think a 4 valve small block Chevy without the expense and compliation of a ZR-1's LT5.
I was just wondering if any one has actual experiance with these heads to support or denounce the claims by Arao.
If they work as good as they claim just think of the possibilities.
4 valves, decent size runners, high velocity ports, much more horsepower and torque and then either throw on an intercooled ATI or an NOS kit.
