Yep, I've got it. I bought mine used through www.half.com. It is very informative.
The ISBN is: 0-89586-460-6 in case you needed it.
Sorry, I transposed a couple of numbers in the ISBN. I've corrected it now.

The third print edition I have was printed in 1987. So the changes made to the cars after that aren't covered (obviously).

Anyways, does it cover anything about convertibles ?
#6
Which one? There is info on several convertible conversions that were done by aftermarket customizers such as: Daquet-Sawdy Inc., Autodyne Corp., Coach Builders Ltd., American Custom Coachworks, John Greenwood, Hi-Line Kustoms Inc., AutoForm Corp., Richard Straman, and of course ASC. I guess that qualifies as a "yes".

Try logging on to half.com and use the ISBN. They have no stock (I checked). But I thought it was funny what they recommend. If you liked this, you'll like these: Sex and the City??? how is that similar? lol

Lon,
Cool, I didn´t even know that this many convertible conversions did exist ....
I checked out half.com and it said that there also is a edition which was published in January of 1990 ( I thought there were only 3 ) .... whats on the cover page of your book ? On the one I´m looking at is a what should be a ´87 red IROC vert so I´m thinking this would make the 3rd edition of the book. (confusing )
When I checked half.com they recommended me something even more "different"... something about a book called "To Kill a Mockingbird" .... thats just as strange as sex and the city

It makes sense (why I don't know). I just noticed the copy I have counts the blank red sheet at the beginning as pages 1 & 2 evidently. Because the first page with any writing follows and is page 3. So with the last numbered page being #114 and another double-sided red page with nothing on it to follow, the book would have 116 pages. Can anyone explain this logic? At any rate, get the book. You won't be disappointed.

I have the first and third printing. I've never heard nor known of anyone who has the second printing.
FYI, a little trivia. That "1987" red IROC-Z convertible on the cover is actually an ASC converted 1986. The tell-tale exterior giveaway of this is the black header (around the windshield). All production 1987's (and succeeding years) were body color.

I have the first and third printing as well. They're actually quite different. The first printing has a lot more pre-production information, which of course makes since considering it was published in 82.
Anyway... I've found this book to be the single best book ever written on the thirdgen camaro. Not only is it the only Camaro book that I don't have errors highlighted on every page, but it's also actually a good read.

I got the book on saturday but since it will be my xmas present I couldn´t get a too close look to it ... so far I can say though that this is the most informative camaro book I ever saw, it involves a huge amout of prototype pictues and all kind of designing information. I got the 3rd edition, published in 1987
