cam selection
I have seen people ask this question half a few times but havent seen someone post my full application more for some part of it and then for other. But Here is what I am working with I am running a 383 w AFR 190 heads 67cc, Super Ram intake, Edelbroke lower Extrude honed, 58MM throttle body. 3000 stall torque converter, 3.42 gears, ATI D1X Procharger w/3 core intercooler, 72 lb injectors and Accell DFI, and the car is more or less as light as I can make it. The question is I need a cam I have been told by some to use competition cams and by others to go to a Lunati cam and when I call them both they give me different cam specs that supposedly give me what I want. This is a street car that I dont really want to or cant rev to hight because ATI said the D1X should be kept under 5800 rev limit. So hopefully with all the knowledge out there maybe one of you can help me. Thanks alot. Oh yeah this is steet driven emissions legal.

Comp Cams is a very good brand of cams, that's what I went with, though I'm no where near your power.
I see you're from MD, me too, Calvert Co, but at college right now at Frostburg, check out the sig pic I have, email me if you're interested.
Good luck with the car too.

TTT for ya, you might get better luck on the Power Adder board, maybe since you're dealing with a boosted engine, or if not there try the TECH board. I believe you'll get better luck on the PA board though.

Id go with a Crane Power Max Hyd Roller

You can look up the specs and details yourself on the Crane Cam's site. Consider some 1.6 ratio rockers to get the high lift flow benefit of your AFR190's
www.cranecams.com
HR-230/359-2S-12.90 IG IS ground on a small base circle already
if you need the rod/cam clearance.
PN #119661
either of these would be winners......
