chp hypertech install

hey i jus picked up the most recent Chevy High Performance, adn after they put in a new torque arm arm bushing from enery suspension, and a hypertech thermomaster chip, they picked up 2 mph, and almost 2 tenths. Now is this just a fluke b/c i ve heard that the hypertech chips are crap but if for $150 bucks i can knock out 2 tenths and gain 2 mph, thats a heck of an investment.

forgot to mention that this is on the my generation camaro.

i had a hypertech thermomaster, i sold it and bought a new stock prom instead. that thing was crap, the stock prom feels at least as fast and is allot better over all. the thermomaster would detonate all the time, especially in the winter when i switched thermostats to get some freaking heat in the car. if you are going to spend $150 why not buy the prom burning equipment instead?

i personally was unimpressed with the thermomaster.

Hypertech recommends a 160 deg tstat with their thermomaster chips. Did the article mention anything about this? The cooler engine may have something to do with their results.

oh beleive me with a 195 thermostat they probably wouldnt have gotten off the line, as soon as you punched it snap, crackle, pop then bog city. even in the winter at 30-40 degrees this just what my car would do. if the engine temp stayed down to roughly 160-170 it was ok, otherwise det all day.

give me a thermostat, fan switch and a timing light thats all i need to get those results.
