Mighty Demon carbs????

anyone here got one of the new Mighty Demon carbs? they seem like they got all the goods and i am looking to upgrade from my 750 edelbrock and was lookin at the demon line. choke not necesarry as i do not drive it in cold weather. my motor is in the sig and it's about 9.6:1 compression. anyones experiences with mighty demons would be greatly apreciated......i'm guess i'd go with 750cfm version.

Car: 79 Monte Carlo
Engine: 406
Transmission: 2004-R
Axle/Gears: Phord 9 inch/3.90
I have the Mighty Demon 750 on my motor. Out of the box the carb was very close to being in tune. It is a little fat on the bottom, and fairly fat in the mid and top yet, but when I dyno'ed the car we didnt have drill bits small enough to drill out the air bleeds(thats the only stupid thing, Demon does not produce pre-drilled air bleeds) . Other than that it seems like a pretty nice piece.

I run the Speed Demon 750DP on my Z.Are you set on the Mighty Demon?I would recommend the Speed Demon line, they will easily feed any healthy street motor with room to grow later on.At a cheaper price too.

well as i was readin about em they said they are good for motors that have large heads, big durration, big exhaust.........well my heads got 200cc runners, i got 270 degrees of durration at .050 and i have 1 3/4" long tube headers with dual 2.5" exhaust so it just looked like that carb would fill the bill. if it means anything i came up with 480 horsepower with engine analyzer with my combo.

On my 355 I run AFR 195 heads (195cc) along with a Comp Extreme Energy 274 cam(duration is 230/236 at .050),Pro Magnum roller rockers 1.5 ratio,10:1 CR,4340 forged crank & rods,Weiand Stealth intake, and my above mentioned Speed Demon 750DP.I have SLP 1.75" headers into single 3" Flowmaster exhaust. You have me in horse according to that analyzer,I put around 380 to the wheels last time at the dyno.I still would recommend the Speed Demon line, cheaper than the Mighty Demons, but will easily feed your motor.I think the Mighty Demons are for really large cubic inch small blocks..406 and up with sick duration..300/320 at .050 and above..high CR and specs along those lines. For your car and motor combo..go with a Speed Demon.Use the money saved elsewhere on the car.

Car: 1986 Iroc
Engine: 454 Demon 850DP
Transmission: TH350, 3500 stall
Axle/Gears: 3.73
I recently put the Speed Demon 850 DP on my 406. As one of the other guys mentioned it was pretty much tuned right out of the box. Fired right up and idled very nice. Just had to drop the idle speed a couple of hundred rpm. Other than that it seems to work great. I will be going to the track on September 8th so that will tell the story.
