tranny coolers- who do you like?

I decided my next (first) mod is going to be a tranny cooler. I ws leaning towards the B&M megacooler but I'm oppen to suggestions. Just keep in mind this is on a students budget so nothing over two dollars . Thanxs

Make sure you get a headered or also refered to as a manifold cooler. I know B&M makes one as well as Hayden. I am currently using the Hayden. Works like a champ. If I remember correctly, it was about $140 two years ago. The reason for using this type of cooler is two fold, they are more efficient and they don't have as drastic effect on the line pressure.

i would recommend the b+m trans cooler , i installed one with my new trans and it worth it. Mount it on the front of the ac condesor. i think it cost about 45-50 in jegs for the one i got.

I would go with the B&M supercooler...don't get the racing one like I did though...that thing is just to big and doesn't come with a install kit or nothin.

I used a B&M Supercooler in conjunction with my factory cooler... my trans temps dropped from 250 degrees to 150 degrees! On cold days it would barely climb to 120, when driving hard, shifting manually. I used the 16000 GVW unit, I think. More than enough, I should have bought a thermostat with it. Only paid $45.

Here's another vote for the B&M cooler. Normally I'd say their stuff sucks, but their coolers are solid yet reasonably priced.

I have a tru-cool low pressure drop cooler on mine. It looks like an OEM aux cooler that you see on trucks. It is more durable than those tube and fin type coolers.
