K&N OR HOLLEY AIR FILTER?

I am in the market for a air filter. I know K&N is the best known and everything, and is a cheap power adder (same $ as holley.) But I was looking into Holley's Power Shot air filter. They say it flows better than K&N and has better cotton. Also, both brands have that million mile coverage I think. Can anyone tell me if they have had good experiences with Holley, or if I should just stick to the good 'ol K&N? By the way, my '89 IROC-Z takes 2 filters. -89IRO

i've used em both and all i can say is a holley power shot seems to be a repackaged k&n only with blue oil instead of red in the cotton.

So, the Holley won't give me any more HP/Torque than the K&N? Yeah, I couldn't figure out why they were the same price. Hey, but what about Barry Grant's "Rush" filter? I don't think they sell it on summit or jeg's so I don't know how much it costs, but they say they use a better cotton than K&N, check out the website (barrygrant.com) and tell me what you think. -89IRO

I've seen dyno runs posted before on 4th gens between the stock air filter and the K&N and they didn't gain a thing while there car was stock. I am a believer that it isn't really something you need to get until you start really fixing things as the flow of intake and heads, but that my opinion based only on 3 or 4 dyno runs on stock engines.

Don't get me wrong, once I begin modding those things I will be getting a K&N, but I wouldn't expect much of a gain.

since they are the same price I'd get what ever you want, I know with the K&N you get a sticker, if you are into brand loyalty, and support

O.K., I'm leaning toward the K&N then I guess. Anybody have any thought on the Barry Grant "Rush" filter? Thanks for the help. -89IRO
