Pretty much this:

3.73 Ring and Pinion
3 Series Posi unit
gasket/lube/bearings/posi additive

Hope this helps.

If you already have a posi, you could just buy gears that are made for a 2 series carrier. Richmond makes them to fit in the carrier you have. They are a little more expensive, but it saves you buying a 400 dollar posi.

This is true, in fact I was going to do this when I went from 2.73's to 3.42's...but then I heard too many people say that the gears would have a bad whine and so forth when doing this. I ended up buying a 3 series posi and the 3.42's (should've bought 3.73's dang it ).

Note! 2:77 gears=BW 9-bolt rear end. You will NOT be buying any stock gears for this set up. And with the costly 9-bolt gears you also have the added expense of the two-series carrier to replace.
Check with Miles for the parts when you have the extra $1000
to spend for parts & installation. Good luck.

if you dont want to mess with installation, find an 86 iroc or reg camaro or birdie with 3.73's in a salvage yard or sumthin, then it's all just bolt on stuff
