Hooker Headers
I have ordered a set of hooker headers from the place that I work. Jockos Auto Parts here in Des Moines Iowa. I didn't have a hooker header book there to look at. But another fellow employee has ordered a 2055-1 hearers for 86-90 TPI and it came with a high flo y pipe. I like an idiot wanted the non emissions legal headers and he said that they would be 2210-1. I found a hooker header book and found out that the 2055-1 were ment for tpi engine. Will the 2210-1 work for my application or what? Any info will be helpful. By the way these are 1 3/4 pri. and 3 inch coll.

Those headers are the Hooker Long Tube Headers. How much did you pay for them? They run close to $400.
Anyhow, these headers are 1-3/4" long tube headers with no emissions provisions. When it comes down to it ... these headers are the best headers for a seriously modified 350+ ci F-Body (TPI, TBI, Carb, etc). There is no header on the market that has 1-3/4" primaries with a big collector EXCEPT for these headers. However, there is a price to pay if you are going to run these headers. Only one company makes a Y-pipe. That company is called Mufflex (mufflex-performance.com). You will lose some ground clearance with these headers and you HAVE to be running the stock tranny crossmember in order for this Y-pipe to work. Furthermore, the Y-pipe comes in pieces and you'll need to have an exhaust shop weld it up. There is also a whole slew of other things that you should know about these headers if you are interested in using them. Do a search on the exhaust board because there is a lot of information there about these headers. These headers are a serious PITA to install.

All Natural. No Force. No Drugs. Stock Bottom End. Stock Body Panels.
Gunning for NA 11's with bigger cam, bigger stall, and bigger exhaust.
