Jegs or Accel Coil

Guys,
I am getting new coil for my 92 350 TPI and was looking at Accels coil # 140011 on Jeg's websites

http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...83&prmenbr=361

and came across a coil sold under Jeg's name

http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...40&prmenbr=361

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with the Jegs version?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Eric

Stay awaaay. That coil left me stranded up north. Notin' but stock replacement or MSD Blaster (still take the stocker though).

Steve,
I take it you are referring to the Accel part and not the Jegs part?

for the price I'd just get an MSD one. and also when I was on the hot rod power tour I was talking to the MSD guy. and he said the BIGGEST improvement on the TPI's they have seen is when pepole add a 6A or 6AL box. he said the coil won't do alot, and to get the box first, then look at the coil. I dunno, just passing on what I have heard

87,
Were you able to determine why the Accel coil failed? Just want to know before I make my decision on what to buy.

I'm running an Accel Supercoil and a Crane HI-6S ignition box. The coil is epoxy packed and virtually bulletproof. I would say you'll be fine with either MSD or Accel.

Well, it could have been a freak of nature but I brought it back and sure enough there was a guy in front of me returning his too. A bad batch perhaps? Maybe, but I've also heard some $hitty things about accel electronics on this board as well. I think they're a little sloppy.
