Centrifugal advance on my MSD Pro-billet keeps getting "sticky" >>>

I am having a now re-occuring problem w/ my MSD Pro-billet distrib (non comp controlled). The centrifugal advance mechanism is getting tight to turn by hand, and won't snap back properly when you release it. There is nothing visible gumming it up. A quick couple sprays of WD40 on it and a good minute or two or working it by hand and it will free up and start working like normal. It did that once, w/ me not having messed w/ it before. After I fixed it by lube-ing it, about two weeks later now it was sticky again. Same trick and it works fine again. I notice some slight driveability problems when the mechanism gets stuck or whatever.

Any idea what would be causing that? Was the WD40 the wrong stuff to put on the centrifugal advance mech? If so what should I use to lube it? (again, the first time this prob popped up I had not messed w/ the advance mechanism at all...)

I emailed MSD after the first time, and they bascially said nothing except if it's within one year or purchase send it back. Well it isn't and I don't want the car to be down that long even if it was. It's nothing physically wrong w/ the distrib or else a quick squirt of WD40 wouldn't fix the prob...

Any ideas would be great...
