Tornado air intake insert

Has anyone used this little contraption on a 3rd gen? And if so, did it make a difference on the butt dyno?

Thanks,
Mike

I knocked off a whole second using that thing.
Do a search on the TECH board, you'll get that it's crap.

The butt dyno told me something was going on.
But I had alot of beans that day!
Seriously, don't waste your cash on those things. A friend of mine put one on his GT, and it did nada. Same on a late model Blazer.
In alot of cases, it hurts performance.
They make a heck of an apple peeler though!

I swear I see this post come up at least once a week. What somebody should do is buy one and do a before and after dyno test so we can put this post to rest once and for all. That's my thoughts though.

LOL @ Brad

Do a search and you find dozens of these posts. All of them will say that is it crap. The guys that stick up for it have never even used it before. '87FAKE-IROC-Z is right, they do nothing or just cause congestion in the intake. Sorry to shoot down your hopes though, just can't believe tv.

Should put it in a hooptie if you want to see any difference

You notice that all the cars they demo'd were hoopties and what not... didn't see anything that vaguely resembled a sports car ( unless that taurus was an SHO) ... should say something for it... I might get one and put it on my daily beater ( Ford Tempo ) . Im sure i'll be able to pull 12's
