SDPC Vortec Intake

Anybody heard anything?
The release date was suppose to be the 16th of March. I have E-mailed them and get no response, now I don't find anything on their site about it.

who knows man, they have been talking about this intake for a really long time. I was supposed to be done months ago. My bud was trying to be the test car for it. I will ask around and see if I can find out about it. SDPC is about 3 miles from my house.

What's wrong with an Edelbrock Performer Vortec OR RPM Vortec or RPM Air-Gap Vortec (Very cool, BTW) intake with a carb adapter plate? You guys want/need the "dedicated" TBI manifold for something? Just asking...

There is a tbi vortec manifold, item #12496821. It is new for 2001, it also has provisions for egr. I think these guys are looking for tpi manifolds. Also, there is a 4bbl manifold, item# 12496820. It has a dual pattern pad for holley and q-jet carbs and has provisions for egr and choke. It's all in the GM performance parts catalog for 2001.

He's talking about the TPI intake, not the TBI.

Yeah right - I waited for this thing to be released for over a year. They claim to be close to releasing it, but have said that for months. I first read about in in December of 99. I found a good deal on Sportsman II's so I am going with the Accel base. I wouldn't pass up any good deals on aftermarket heads unless you are NOT in a hurry. I hope I'm wrong, but don't hold your breath...

Thats exactly the combo we're going to install in the RS, along with SLP 1 3/4" headers, so those results we'll be interested in!
