Art Carr tranny

Hi all, what experiences has anyone had with Art Carr transmissions? I'm getting tired of the local tranny shops that can't seem to rebuild my tranny worth a sh*t. Art CArr quoted me something like $2275 for the tranny, tc, and some kind of cooler. Pretty pricey but if it eliminates me having to rebuild my tranny once a year, it may be worth it. What do you guys think? I heard bad stuff about the B&M and TCI trannies so I shied away from them. Any other ideas? Thanks.

I have a darrel young built 700R4 in my car. Its stood up to 2 seasons of abuse with no problems.

Art Carr is good stuff but pricey. There are guys with 800-900 horsepower running art carr trannies. I think that is about the limit though.

Damn, at Pro-builts prices, I could get a Stage 3 tranny. Time to put in a big block. <g> Thanks for the info.
