Particularly Grumpy...

I did a search on this and there's a lot of negative opinions about Bosch.

What's the deal? Some people say it makes the car run rich...

Some say it doesn't run right at all... throws the VE's way off....

Grumpy, you even said that the shortcomings of this sensor are documented at the DYI-EFI site. How do I get to that?

I'm contemplating taking out my Bosch and replacing it with a Delco. Will I really notice anything. The car runs pretty good right now, but I know it can be better. Particularly at idle. Everything else I've tried doesn't seem to get any better. I'm wondering now if I'm tuning around a bum sensor. It reads out fine (voltage bouncing around between .2 and .75), and I have the BLMs between 126 and 130 at all times.

i am running a bosch. installed 6/03. before i had the WB02(8/04) i assumed i was running 14.7 average. it appears i am running closer to 15.0 to 15.5 at CL idle with plenum heat soaked.

That's one thing I've been wrestling with... lean idle. It's not so bad as it was before where it was causing a constant misfire. However, it shows some of the characteristics of being lean.

Form day one they had an internal grounding problem with them, at one time they said they'd cured it, but I've seen too many fail for that to be true. It's DIY-EFI.org, or try the Turbobuick.com board for more reports of how lousy they are.
