another code 34 question

Ok, time to chase down a 34 again. My plan is to check the connections at the MAF and all relays on the firewall. Qustion is which relay is maf power? Mine aren't in the stock locations since I did the motor swap. I need to use wire colors to I.D. the relays. I have the fuel pump identified, but I think I may have the burnoff and maf power switched. Are all the relays supposed to be the same? One of the relays has a different part number, so that could also be my problem. Im just hoping it's not the maf itself.

Also, how would an exhaust or vacuum leak figure into this equation?

A vacuum leak will significantly affect the MAF signal to the ECM.

Check the MAF output voltage at idle. You should be getting about 0.75VDC at a minimum on your L98.

If his car is a 1990, wouldn't it be MAP instead of MAF? Code 34 for it would be SIGNAL VOLTAGE LOW - HIGH VACUUM.

Motor swap. It's an '86 maf harness in a '90 body.

Thanks for the info. I'll be checking voltage outputs tomorrow, and also making sure that all the grounds are good.
