subscribing... keep us updated! And the off-road rigs that you posted up are pretty neat. I actually wanted to do something to my 1994 GMC Jimmy (the daily-runner) but then I got my 91 TA convertible last August so all the money is going into that machine lol. Pretty much the only cash my Jimmy is getting now is regular maintenance and repairs.
I'm just amazed that your Camaro has seen over 300,000 miles! Nice!

the camaro has been a awsome car. always started and ran. even with high millage it still got it. i never really drove it in high school because i always drove my crawler cherokee. the body and drive train shows the high millage. i plan on taking all the drive train out and sand blasting them and painting it all.

Your car with the Z06 wheels would look good in the Quasar Blue or all white.
What colors did you have in mind?

Re: my 1983 l69 build
Well the blue looks cool, then again, I have always been partial to blue cars. Then again, if you want your car to really stand out, then the orange will work.
Anyway maybe get a bit of each and try it on an old hood and see how it looks on the car before doing the entire thing?

Re: my 1983 l69 build
its been a bit since ive updated here. i pulled that 350 and installed a newer 350 with the serp set up and still running the swirl port heads, i have a set of 416 heads that are going to be ported and polished with 194's installed, i am going to run this untill i can get a ls1 or better.
as the car sets i lowered it installed new racing seats, getting ready for a cage. the newer motor has pretty good power for what it is, the motor has 54k on it from when it was new, i installed a bare bones cam kit and lifters, a comp dual timing chain, a team g high rise and am still running the 650dp. i have mostley everything for the turbo build but am starting to change my mind for the ls1/6speed.
got rid of the z06 wheels and got a set of rays 5spoke. there super light and right now i am running 275's all the way around

Re: my 1983 l69 build
they look alot better in person. i wanted to get rid of the z06's because there is like 4 cars in my area that run them. one had bad curb rash and all the tires were toast. these wheels are new the tires are in good shape and no curb rash. and they weigh n at around 11 pounds each.

Re: my 1983 l69 build
got the motor together, its strong sounds better and has more power, but still needs some tuning. and some better valve springs. went and got some paint mixed today for it. candy blue matalic kinda looks like pepsi blue.
got two coats painted and not even used half of a gallon. going to wet sand and spray again. then a clear. also going to paint the valve covers and air cleaner the same color. then maybe the dash if i want to fiberglass and fix it?

Re: my 1983 l69 build
got to autocross it.. super fun but did not get to do my last 3 runs since my clutch linage broke. its all fixed ready to go now, i did change out my intake, from the team g high rise to a edelbrock performer not to much of a change i think i actually lost some power up top but the bottom end is nice.
sad news i finished my 10bolt off today, took some teeth off the ring gear, good thing i just picked up a disk brake rear end out of a irock i will get some pics up later

Re: my 1983 l69 build
its been a while since ive been on here.. but since my union is finally pickin up i can get back to work on the third gen..
here it sets, sold the sbc, 5 speed, sold the wheels and spacer. the disk brake rear end is still in, cars a mess.. i
before taking it apart
and this is what i am thinkin now..
forged 454, .060 over, long rod, eagle crank, and these:
eagle h-beams, speed pro forged pistons.
i got a block out of a 71chevelle ss, stamped high perf, clean block, sold the 781 heads to fund the new heads i need to run my pistons.
i plan to try a t56 if i can get my hands on one.
maybe some boost to.. i dont know yet, single turbo or nos.. maybe both.

t-5 for now
97 vortec 5.7 with lt4 hot cam and roller rockers. poted vortec heads.
using s10 v8 swap headders doing a forward facing turbo set up with a gt42 big ball bearing turbo. ( or ebay version -cx racing etc)
blow though turbo set up
i know the t-5 will not hold but for now it fills the void.
plan on gutting the shell no carpet no heater etc. and just running a 10 point cage and 2 seats. really want to build a auto x only that i can enjoy on the street from time to time. my car still has all the nice suspension
some deep dish xxr wheels keep it simple.
